Job Title: Financial Controller (m/f/d)
Location: Frankfurt

Organisational Context

The Financial Controller IFRS & HGB is responsible for leading the month-end/year-end processes and for preparing the financial statements according to IFRS and German GAAP for three legal entities in Germany. He/she assures compliance with all internal guidelines as well as statutory and legal requirements. Being based in Frankfurt, the position is part of a global team and reports to the Head of Financial Controlling EMEA and Hold Co’s in Frankfurt.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Preparing and analysing monthly and annual financial statements according to IFRS and German GAAP and lead respective audits.
Analysing data to identify business impacts, tracking financial performance against KPIs and deriving actionable measures.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams and senior financial professionals on numerous tasks & projects
Support with annual corporate income tax declarations and tax audits in cooperation with tax department
Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and INEOS group reporting guidelines
Participating in projects to optimize financial operations and improve efficiency.
Provide advice for expert topics

Skills & Knowledge Required

Master’s degree in finance / economics; bachelor’s degree plus additional qualification as certified accountant / Bilanzbuchhalter (IHK)
Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience, preferably in an industrial and international environment and / or audit firm
Strong understanding of financial accounting requirements including IFRS and German GAAP
Sound knowledge of management accounting and reporting techniques
High level of interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
Strong analytical skills and a structured approach to setting priorities
Experience working with SAP FI & CO is a plus
Business fluency in English and German
